Lookout’s latest feature, Signal Flare, gets us just a little bit closer to being able to find the phone even in its Sleeping Beauty state. But if your phone is lost or stolen and the battery dies, you can probably kiss that device goodbye. It does this by listening to the GPS signals in the phone and mapping where it is - similar to Apple’s “Find my iPhone” app. Indeed, the company says it locates a phone every three seconds. Lookout Mobile’s app protects 25 million devices in 170 different countries, and of those millions of users, the “find my phone” feature is the most popular.
